Hello, I’m Tuula, an authorized local guide with a background in cultural history.
I’ve always been more interested in the people behind history than history on its own. That curiosity has shaped the way I guide, write and explore places.
For nearly 30 years, I’ve been helping visitors discover Porvoo beyond its famous landmarks.
Whether we explore the riverside, the old town or the surrounding landscape, my aim is always the same: to make the past feel close, human, and alive.
I believe every place is shaped by the lives of ordinary people as much as by great events. That’s why my tours focus not only on what happened, but on how people lived, chose and left their mark on the town.
Every tour is an invitation to slow down, look closer and notice what often goes unseen.
